Bisher ist allerdings nur die japanische Version der lang erwarteten Firmware erschienen. Mit der neuen Firmware kommen diverse neue Features, die u. a. auch schon von der SuperCard DS One SDHC bekannt sind:

- Compatible with high-speed, high-capacity microSDHC, so you can carry even more songs with you.
- With safety in mind, DiskCheck is included as a standard feature. (nur für Japan lt. “readme”)
- Upgrades are possible through firmware.
- Features an easy-to-use touch-and-slide interface.
- Skinning support is included, you can completely customize your own designs
- Control bar responds to touch by playing sounds.
- Includes a customizable Accessory Launcher.
- Includes an automatic Application Launcher.
- Playback auto-resume function.
- Can playback MP3 / WAV / OGG music files directly.
- Can playback movie files directly (proprietary DPG format).
